The Ladue School District is dedicated to updating and receiving input from the community on a regular basis as these projects progress. We had hoped the first opportunities for this would be in the spring of 2020 when the architectural team completed the “programming” phase of the design process.
This phase entailed engaging teams of administrators, teachers and parents in envisioning what an ideal teaching and learning environment would allow teachers to do in the three schools identified as needing the most significant improvements (Old Bonhomme Elementary School, Spoede Elementary School and Ladue Middle School). (View agendas and information provided in these workshops in the Concepts Section of this website.)
We had originally scheduled opportunities for the community to provide feedback on the initial concepts on April 13 and 14, 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent closing of our schools through the end of the 2019-20 school year and the beginning of the 2020-21 school year, these engagements were canceled.
During the fall of 2020, virtual opportunities to learn about these projects will be made available to the community and we hope to be able to schedule in-person events in the spring of 2021. In the meantime, we will continue to update this website as concepts and cost estimates continue to be refined, even while school is not in session.
